Dental crowns are highly versatile restorations that can improve your bite, enhance your smile’s appearance, and restore the function of your teeth. Dr. Gabe Adorjan at Modern American Dentistry in Woodland Hills, CA, can provide you with custom-made dental crowns of the highest quality.

We approach every dental treatment with the patient’s utmost safety and comfort in mind. You are the most important person in our dental office during your visit! We will always ensure you feel relaxed and confident in our care, and we will do everything we can to make your appointment as painless and pleasant as possible.

The Dental Crown Process

With a skilled and experienced restorative dentist like Dr. Adorjan, the dental crown process is quick, easy, and painless. When you first come in for your appointment, your dentist will perform a comprehensive examination, which may include x-rays, to get a detailed understanding of your oral health status and anatomy.

If Dr. Adorjan determines a dental crown is what you need, we start by preparing the tooth for the crown and removing any debris left behind from reshaping the tooth. We will then take impressions of your smile to design a crown that matches the exact size, shape, and color of your natural teeth. Our dental lab partners will create your final restoration, which may take a couple of weeks to complete. In the meantime, we fit you with a temporary crown so you can still eat, speak, and smile.

When the final crown is ready for placement, we will ensure the perfect fit and cement the restoration in place.

Caring for Your Restored Smile

Dental crowns can last between five and 15 years, and the more diligently you care for your teeth, the better!

This means we highly encourage you to:

  • Brush at least twice daily with fluoride toothpaste.
  • Floss between your teeth every day, especially after meals.
  • Avoid using your teeth as tools to open bottles or packages.
  • Get routine dental exams and cleanings every six months.

If you have any issues with your dental crown or need a replacement, Dr. Adorjan will ensure you leave our office with a fully functional and comfortable smile.

Please contact us today if you are ready to improve your smile with porcelain crowns in Woodland Hills. We look forward to helping you restore your smile!
