As a South Bay local, when he’s not working on your teeth, you might find Dr. Omar at a local basketball court or out and about with some friends in Hermosa or Manhattan Beach having some laughs. If you bump into him, don’t be afraid to stop and say hi. He always appreciates a smile.

Growing up in Toronto, Canada, Omar was entrenched in a young culturally rich community that celebrated art and passion. Prior to embarking on his career as a dentist, you would’ve found Dr. Omar Hassouna showcasing his artistic talent at local Toronto art galleries during his developed as a published artist and painter while completing his Bachelor of Science degree at York University.

Dr. Omar received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for both its exceptional attention to surgical procedures and to providing care to underserved communities, Omar’s dental school allowed him to develop into a talented and caring doctor. After graduating, Omar supplemented his already adept skills by attending UCLA’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry. There he was mentored closely by many renowned specialists whom quite literally wrote the books on modern dentistry. 

More than any other aspect of his career, Omar prides himself on making sure all his patients are comfortable and involved with their own care. He feels it is important that patients know what is going on exactly and finds pleasure in answering his patients’ questions thoroughly.
